Thinking about purchasing one! Would it fit in a compact car trunk? Does
the handle bar come off easy or fold somehow?
Need it to fit in my car to get from a parking lot to my house which is
like 4 blocks away…

i’ve had mine only a month and i’ve had a problem with the freewheel being
crossthreaded, the seat was missing a retainer nut and cup and the
kickstand broke in half in the first 2 weeks. after fixing these things
i’ve been happy with it , but a bit costly i think especially after the
troubles.

Sorry to hear that. I agree that is too many annoyances for the price you
pay. When ours arrived the box was in bad, bad shape. I just knew parts
would be missing. Surprisingly, they were all there. We developed a
squeaking sound at start up, but would go away after riding maybe a block.
Fixed that though with some oil on the drive chain.

How good do you think it is, against the currie models?

Worth it? Well, I’m cheap enough to think $300+ is a lot for a scooter.
However, we have had it for a little over 4 months, have put many hours on
it, and I cannot say we have had any problems. The only issue is the one I
mentioned: i.e., the cover for the where you plug in the charger broke
immediately.

It lists for just over $300 some places, and up to $400 ($399.99 at Target)

I have had a bad experience with a scooter before (broke right away) is
this one worth it?

My wife often rides it sitting, with our little girl standing.

I made a comparison of the two we have, search: “Ecosmart Metro vs eZip
e500”. However, the Currie/eZip models are smaller (like our eZip 500) than
this Metro, or larger — they make some the size of regular pedal bikes
with 26″ tires. This is kind of in between, with 16″ tires. Also, our
eZip500 is a bit noiser than our Metro. Just a matter of preference I think.
